Het nertsenfokverbod waarvoor Bont voor Dieren jarenlang campagne heeft gevoerd werd een feit. De Eerste Kamer bepaalde dat vanaf 2024 alle nertsenfokkerijen hun deuren zullen sluiten. Er zijn dan geen pelsdierfokkerijen in Nederland
Bont voor Dieren lanceerde de postercampagne “Er hangt meer aan je bontje” met actrice Georgina Verbaan en Ahmed Larouz.
Bont voor Dieren werd uitgenodigd door diverse media waaronder het tv-programma ‘Koffietijd’. Ook was Bont voor Dieren te zien in Shownieuws en RTL Boulevard en berichtten diverse dagbladen over onze campagnes.
Meer dan 50 merken ondertekenden de Bontvrijverklaring van Bont voor Dieren, waaronder Neckermann, Zalando, O’Neill, Brunotti, Vanilia en SuperTrash.
De Amsterdamse Dierenbescherming en Bont voor Dieren bundelden hun krachten in een actie op straat om bontdragers voor te lichten over de herkomst van hun bontje.
Bont voor Dieren en Sea Shepherd zijn een grote gezamenlijke campagne begonnen om aandacht te vragen voor de vergeten zeehondenjacht in Namibië. De eerste stap was de lancering van de site forgottenseal.org.
Bont voor Dieren verspreidde spreekbeurtpakketen, gaf gastlessen op scholen en de lespakkettten werden meer dan 800 keer gedownload.
Vrijwilligers van Bont voor Dieren demonstreerden voor de deur van de Canadese Ambassade tegen de zeehondenjacht, waarop de Canadese Ambassade besloot tijdelijk haar deuren te sluiten.
Bont voor Dieren lanceerde de “Vermist’ postercampagne. Honderden mensen hebben de posters gedownload en opgehangen.
Actrice Kimberley Klaver werd toegevoegd aan de huidige lijst met BN’ers die zich inzet vóór de dieren en tegen bont.
Bont voor Dieren deed onderzoek naar onwetendheid bontkraagdragers.
Diervriendelijk cosmeticabedrijf Lush ging een samenwerking aan met Bont voor Dieren en ontwikkelde een speciale themazeep en informatiemateriaal over bont.
Bont voor Dieren lanceerde de verkiezing ‘Dom Bontje 2012”. Diverse genomineerden waaronder de presentatrices Anita Witzier, Nance en Britt gaven aan hun bontkraag niet meer te willen dragen.
Posters van webwinkel Vimodos met daarop een grote bontkraag werden naar aanleiding van een Facebookactie van Bont voor Dieren vroegtijdig verwijderd. Vimodos koos daarnaast ook direct voor een bontvrij beleid. Ook bedrijf Perry Sport had bont in haar collectie, maar na contact met Bont voor Dieren werd de jas met bontkraag uit het assortiment gehaald.
Als antwoord op de open brief ondertekend door ruim honderd ontwerpers, stylisten, modebladen, fotografen en bekende Nederlanders aan Amsterdam Fashion Week, (AFW) zal Bont voor Dieren een lezing verzorgen i.s.m. de internationale ontwerper Bruno Pieters in Pakhuis de Zwijger op 23 januari.
Het ‘Bontvrij keurmerk’ prijkte op posters van Invito en op de website van o.a. Manfield, Bristol en Dolcis.
