Gamen tegen zwerfafval
1 november is officieel het startschot gegeven voor de nieuwe Zwerfafvalgame die NederlandSchoon voor het basisonderwijs heeft ontwikkeld. Na het doorknippen van een grote oranje strik op de speciale gamebus, barstte de strijd direct los. Onder leiding van Wethouder de heer P.R. van Doorn van de Gemeente Haarlem en Levi van Kempen streden groep 5 en 6 van de St Franciscus Xaveriusschool tegen elkaar wie de buurt het schoonst maakte.
Première battle
De leerlingen van groep 5 beten de spits af en speelden de game. Hierbij werden ze geholpen door de wethouder. Nadat zij een mooie score hadden neergezet was de beurt aan groep 6. Zij kregen hulp van niemand minder dan Disney XD presentator Levi van Kempen. Uiteindelijk kwam groep 6 als winnaar uit de strijd. Zij werden nog eens extra beloond met een speciale Zwerfafvalgame-award die zij in hun klas kunnen neerzetten. Na afloop van deze première battle konden ook de leerlingen uit groep 7 en 8 de Zwerfafvalgame spelen.
Gamen tegen zwerfafval
NederlandSchoon heeft een innovatieve game ontwikkeld, die kinderen van groep 5 tot en met groep 8 op een leuke manier enthousiast maakt voor een buurt zonder zwerfafval. De Zwerfafvalgame sluit naadloos aan op het lespakket ‘Zwerfafval Mooi Niet’, dat kinderen en leerkrachten informeert over het effect en belang van een schone omgeving. De game wordt gespeeld in een interactieve promobus, waarin de beleving van de game via licht en geluid extra groot is. Per battle krijgen groepjes van maximaal acht leerlingen de missie om samen al het zwerfafval in de buurt op te ruimen. Uiteindelijk komen alle deelnemende scholen in een landelijk klassement te staan. Welke school is de beste zwerfafvalaanpakker? De Zwerfafvalgame is gratis te bestellen voor iedere school in Nederland. Boek de bus via www.nederlandschoon.nl.
Stichting Nederland Schoon
Stichting Nederland Schoon zet zich al sinds 1991 in om de hinder van zwerfafval in Nederland te voorkomen en te bestrijden. De stichting neemt deel aan het Focusprogramma Zwerfafval 2010-2012. Dit is een gezamenlijk project van de gemeenten en het bedrijfsleven, te weten de Vereniging van Nederlandse Gemeenten (VNG), VNO-NCW (ook namens MKB Nederland), Agentschap NL (voorheen SenterNovem) en Stichting Nederland Schoon.
