Ik ben Aranka (35) , ik kook (veel en vaak), ik doe vrijwilligerswerk en om fit te blijven ga ik graag hardlopen.

Waarom een kookblog?
Zoals de titel al wat doet vermoeden kook ik zo veel mogelijk zoutarm/zoutloos, dit omdat ik een nierziekte heb en dit mij aangeraden werd door mijn specialist.
Nu kookte ik al voornamelijk vers en zogezegd ‘from scratch’ dus op zich was de overgang naar zoutarm niet een enorme stap.
Maar toch zal het je verbazen hoeveel natrium een mens per dag binnenkrijgt, sowieso als je uit pakjes en zakjes kookt, maar zelfs als je dat niet doet kom je snel ruim boven de aanbevolen 2 gram natrium per dag uit.
In mijn zoektocht naar zoutarme gerechten, die vooral smakelijk zijn want:
ik wil best voor mijn gezondheid zoutarm/zoutloos eten, maar ik wil ook vooral genieten van heerlijk eten, kwam ik erachter dat ik eigenlijk het beste zelf zoveel mogelijk kan maken. Op deze manier kan je prima de hand houden in de hoeveelheid natrium die je binnenkrijgt en heb je controle over de smaak!
Daarom dus mijn kookblog, een verzameling van (hopelijk) smakelijke gerechten zodat je ook heerlijk kan eten als je zoutarm/zoutloos moet/wilt eten.
Ga je wel eens in een restaurant eten en kan dat dan makkelijk zoutloos?
Ja ik ga uit eten, en graag ook. Meestal compenseer ik de dag zelf door erg op mijn eten te letten (weinig natrium binnenkrijgen zodat ik ‘s avonds minder streng hoef te zijn van mezelf), de dagen ervoor en erna te compenseren door meer natriumarm te eten, sauzen e.d apart te vragen (die zijn vaak erg zout), niet te veel brood te eten want daar zit vaak redelijk wat zout doorheen en je smeert er vaak boter op wat ook vaak weer zout bevat en door bewuster te kiezen: geen soepen, geen gerechten met kaas bijvoorbeeld.
En soms ga ik gewoon uit eten en kijk ik gewoon waar ik zin in heb want soms moet dat ook gewoon kunnen vind ik.
Wat is je favoriete (zoutloze) gerecht?
Mijn favoriete natriumarme gerecht is (zijn eigenlijk want ik kan slecht kiezen):
– Bolognesesaus
– Gegrilde vis met marokkaanse tomaten
– Aubergine salade
– Courgette haricot-vert salade
