Er waren op dat moment maar een handjevol espressokoffiemerken actief. Professionele horeca-espressomachines onderhouden en repareren, behoorde ook tot mijn taken. Klanten zoals horecaondernemer Aad van der Stel van restaurant Old Dutch waren voor mij het bewijs, dat we een kwaliteitsproduct in handen hadden. Ook spraken we Herman den Blijker regelmatig op onze tweewekelijkse koffie-afleverronde, die toentertijd in Vlaardingen als chefkok bij \u00e9\u00e9n van onze klanten werkte.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"159\" width=\"239\" src=\"http:\/\/www.manuelcaffe.nl\/images\/bambu1-100.jpg\" align=\"right\" alt=\"proeflokaal_1\" title=\"proeflokaal_1\" style=\"width: 239px; height: 159px\" \/>In 1994 werden de bedrijfsactiviteiten uitgebreid met een <a href=\"https:\/\/celesta.nl\/images\/media\/manuel1.jpg\" title=\"koffieproeflokaal\">uniek koffieproeflokaal<\/a>, waar iedereen alle verschillende melanges van onze koffie kon proeven en kopen voor thuisgebruik. Na 11 jaar espressokoffie te hebben verkocht aan de horeca, de horeca-groothandel en enkele supermarkten, moest er met pijn in het hart worden gestopt. De continue onverwachte overnames ten koste van de lopende debiteuren in de horeca, de vele langetermijnbetalers en nietbetalers van de rekeningen leidden tot noodgedwongen afbouw van bedrijfsactiviteiten.<\/p>\n<p><em>-foto: voormalige branderij-<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"150\" width=\"230\" src=\"http:\/\/www.manuelcaffe.nl\/images\/manuelbranderij1a.jpg\" align=\"left\" vspace=\"5\" alt=\"koffiebranderij\" hspace=\"5\" title=\"koffiebranderij\" style=\"width: 230px; height: 150px\" \/>Inmiddels is de branderij in Itali\u00eb veel groter gegroeid en is Manuel Caff\u00e8 succesvoller geworden in de jaren dat wij niet meer actief mee zijn geweest in Nederland. De verschillende melanges worden nu ook in een gloednieuwe, grotere branderij gebrand. In al die jaren zijn wij gewoon verliefd op ons product gebleven. Het is\u00a0voor ons de lekkerste espressokoffie gebleven die er is. En daarbij ziet de vormgeving van de koffieverpakking, serviesgoed\u00a0en alle bij-artikelen er ook nog eens superstijlvol uit.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"159\" width=\"238\" src=\"http:\/\/www.manuelcaffe.nl\/images\/bambu2-100.jpg\" align=\"right\" alt=\"proeflokaal_2\" title=\"proeflokaal_2\" style=\"width: 238px; height: 159px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>De laatste paar maanden hebben we intensief nagedacht over een eventuele restart met Manuel Caff\u00e8. Het zou ontzettend zonde zijn om Nederland niet opnieuw te laten kennis maken met deze sublieme Italiaanse espressokoffie. Daarom hebben we besloten iedereen de mogelijkheid te geven om weer te genieten van waar het bij espresso allemaal om draait.
