In Deze grappige kerstvariant op de serie gaat de familie Duncan op kerstvakantie naar Palm Springs. De trip verloopt niet helemaal zoals het hoort en Teddy en haar moeder Amy moeten noodgedwongen de reis vervolgen met de bus, auto, lopend, liftend en per fiets. Hierbij beleven zij de raarste dingen op hun weg om zo snel mogelijk weer bij hun familie te zijn om de kerst te gaan vieren.<\/p>\n

Leigh-Allyn Baker die de op haar lijf geschreven rol speelt van Amy, vertolkt op een grappige manier een altijd pms gedrag vertonende, Broadwaydroom najagende en wanhopig naar erkenning zoekende, hysterische moeder van vier kinderen met soms wat overarticulerende handjes, zoals ze zelf zegt; wat simpelweg betekent dat ze iemand een klap geeft. Leuke actrice die in de film en ook serie voor hilarische momenten zorgt.
