Something has fallen out of the sky here
Something has fallen out of the sky here.
Yes.
So there are two miserable elongated-ish creepy stones lying here randomly.
Exactly in the spot in the little flowerbed where a beautiful plant is supposed to be.
Where is that plant?
Is it lying flattened underneath them now?
Do I need to call for backup to get him or her out from underneath them?
For all I know, that plant also has children and those little plant children are sitting neatly at the plant table waiting for mommy or daddy to come home to eat some seeds.
It would be extremely sad if those little plant children were about to become plant orphans.
Maybe they already are, but they don’t even know it yet.
Who is going to tell them then?
Not me.
I’m just a passerby.
On my way, loaded down with coffee, to manage a completely empty square in search of new coffee customers.
What am I doing here. After 37 years you should know by now that Mondays are the most worthless day in the existence of hospitality entrepreneurs.
Anyway. The duo stones. Which apparently fell out of the sky.
Although that apparently isn’t certain yet, eh.
But I’m assuming it. So almost apparently. Sort of.
Are they married?
Why are they lying there side by side then?
Did they come down together?
Did they already know each other before the fall?
Or was one of them lying there first and the other thought: hey, move over, I want to lie there too!
Why exactly are there two of them?
Where is stone three?
Did they have a fight with a bigger boulder and leave together?
Are these even stones or two extremely badly camouflaged extraterrestrial devices waiting until everyone has gone to bed?
Why are they lying so neatly next to each other anyway, as if someone said: you two stay here until further notice.
And what about that white stuff lying next to them?
Have they been snorting something?
Laundry detergent?
Spelt flour?
You can’t just do that!
That white stuff could blow into someone else’s face later.
Great.
I don’t think you want that.
I don’t!
So who is going to solve this mystery then?
Not me again. I’m not an inspector. I’m just a simple observerspector who has been documenting everything under the sun since time immemorial.
But now I’m stuck with a completely unsolved duo-stone incident.
