Turns out that when the rest of the world finally shuts the hell up, my own brain just starts yelling instead
So here I am.
I think, for about 6.4 seconds, I’ll just pull over for a bit and enjoy the view.
That enormous field, 38 sheep on standby, a few clouds casually hanging around and for a moment you think you might actually manage to think about absolutely nothing.
But that’s obviously a joke.
It’s so quiet here. I can actually hear myself thinking, which was kind of the exact opposite of the plan.
Why the hell do I have to work every single day?
Why is that one sheep standing so ridiculously far away from the others?
Did they have a fight?
Did they block him?
Turns out it’s not all that different from the human world.
Why are those stupid fences in my view?
How long does it actually take them to eat an entire field?
Well, I’d better hurry up and absorb all this (fake) peace and quiet because we’ve got to get moving again. Back to the chaos.
Did I become even slightly more relaxed?
No.
Okay then.
Maybe next time.
This wasn’t exactly how I imagined it.
I thought: field. Sheep. Clouds. Peace.
Turns out that when the rest of the world finally shuts the hell up, my own brain just starts yelling instead.
Does it really have to?
Am I seriously standing here wasting my time for nothing?
And those sheep are probably thinking, why is that ridiculous bathtub standing over there?
Great. As if my already crappy reputation needed any more help.
Right then.
Onwards.
